The project
Turning a technical offer into a clear website
The client
KHN Consult (Know How Now Business Management Solutions) designs security architecture for South Africa’s estates, corporate headquarters and institutional properties: CCTV and AI surveillance, alarms, perimeter and access control, and the networks behind them. The firm was founded in 2010 and is based in Northcliff, Johannesburg.
The brief
KHN’s previous website was a 2010-era Dreamweaver site that needed full replacement. The new one had to explain a technical offer to property owners and managers, and bring in enquiries worth a site visit.
What we built
We planned the site structure and wrote the copy, from the home page line “Bespoke Security Architecture for Discerning Clients” to the service pages. The offer is organised into four service lines (security architecture, surveillance and AI, perimeter and access control, and network infrastructure) and five technology-partner pages for Ajax Systems, Avigilon, Axis, Gallagher and Paradox. The design uses a dark, technical visual language with Big Shoulders display type and a horizontal-scroll section for the firm’s three pillars.
Enquiries that arrive qualified
Instead of a plain contact form, the contact page is an 11-step guided security intake. Each answer carries points, and the steps end in “Calculate Fit” and then a request for an assessment, so KHN starts every conversation with the facts it needs.
