South Africa

Security quoting software built for South African teams

Security Ark is a remote quoting ERP for South African security architects: site walks, layered design, live distributor pricing and instant BOQs.

South African security companies quote in a demanding environment: load-shedding drives battery and backup design, electric fencing must comply with SANS 10222-3 and carry a certificate of compliance, and clients expect SAIDSA-aligned, PSIRA-registered professionalism. Security Ark was built for this market. Price lists from South African distributors import directly into the catalogue, quotes are calculated in ZAR with dealer and retail pricing kept separate, and the layered design approach covers perimeter, fencing, gates, lighting, CCTV, access control, and alarms in one project. Customer and site records live in your own database rather than a shared cloud platform, which keeps POPIA access and retention obligations under your control.

Product Overview

Security Ark software overview: from site walk to signed quote

Security Ark is a remote quoting and design ERP for security architects, integrators, installers, and consultants who design complete systems: CCTV, access control, alarms, electric fencing, gates, perimeter detection, and lighting. Most security businesses still build quotes from supplier PDFs, spreadsheets, WhatsApp messages, and memory. Prices go stale, line items get forgotten, site notes never reach the quote, and every proposal looks different. Security Ark replaces that scatter with one system that carries a project from the first site walk to a complete, priced bill of quantities.

The workflow starts with a guided site-walk wizard that captures the property, risk areas, and requirements step by step, even when the survey happens remotely. From there, the visual quote builder lays your design over the actual site plan: place cameras, detectors, access points, fence lines, gates, and lighting on separate layers, and drill into per-category system diagrams that keep every component and connection accounted for. As the design grows, the bill of quantities builds itself, organised into professional sections and ready to hand to a client.

Pricing comes from a structured catalogue of more than a hundred typed products across twenty-one equipment categories, kept current by importing price lists from major South African distributors. Dealer and retail pricing stay separate, so the margin is visible on every line. Projects are versioned with explicit saves and conflict protection, quotes sit alongside customer and supplier records, and dashboards give management a live view across catalogue, quoting, and import activity.

Security Ark runs on WDS Creative's full-stack delivery model: a fast Rust and SQLite backend with a Next.js frontend, deployed with Docker on your own server or hosted and supported by WDS Creative. Role-protected logins keep sensitive site designs restricted to the right people. The roadmap, already scoped, adds a customer pricing spine, live distributor price synchronisation, and a direct push of quotes into Sage Business Cloud Accounting South Africa.
